School of Rock

Jack Black is at his best in this musical movie. The movie is about a loser rocker who start substitute teaching at a private school for some rent money. He then discovers a bunch of talented youngin to fulfill his rock dreams. The movie let’s Jack Black do what he doest best. He can rock on and make funny faces with a full blast of energy. Jack Black is the only star of this movie, but it did great at the box office. Goes to show that if you have a great star, great script, and great director, you can make it big at the box office. The director is Richard Linklater(Before Sunrise/Before Sunset).
I loved that they hired musician instead of child actors. Made the film more real and genuine. It gave the movie soul. If it was a bunch of annoying kid actors running around, it wouldn’t have the heart that it does. This movie rocks and it’s a must have DVD for any collection.
