This one is going to be hard to call. I can’t wait to see who wins this one. Two great actors, but I have to put my money on Hopkins because I see Eastwood as a great director rather then a actor. To vote you have to leave a comment, since this site does not get a lot of comments your vote will matter. After the 16 matches are completed I will show who is moving on to the next round. Here are some of their top performances.
Anthony Hopkins
Dr. Hannibal Lecter - The Silence of the Lambs
Richard M. Nixon - Nixon
James Stevens - The Remains of the Day
Clint Eastwood
Frankie Dunn - Million Dollar Baby
William Munny - Unforgiven
Harry Callahan - Dirty Harry

Eastwood is a great director not a great actor. Hopkins wins easy!!!

Eastwood - I’ve never been fond of Hopkins. Eastwood was perfect in the admittedly cheesy “the good, the bad, and the ugly” - plus he worked with a chimp later in his career.

It goes without saying… Anthony Hopkins would not only beat Clint Eastwood, but he would be challenging for the best of the best. I like Clint Eastwood (he has made some good films), but Hopkins is simply in an acting class “head and shoulders” above him.
