Robert Deniro is an ass!
March 14th, 2008 by thecupDon’t get me wrong, I really liked Deniro but after watching this clip, I lost a lot of respect for him. I didn’t realize he was so smug and such a jerk. But I guess you have to be this way to make it in Hollywood. The way he looks at the director is priceless. He sure knows how to make someone feel like crap. Maybe he was having a bad day and decided to take it out on someone. However I have a strange feeling that this is how he is to “regular” people. He is DeNiro, he knows what he is doing, how dare you criticize me? Do you know who I am? Now I know how he was able to transition so well into comedy with Meet the Parents…..He was playing HIMSELF!!!

Are you saying that you changed your opinion of a person simply because you have watched a video where he acted like an asshole? That’s a bit unfair, I think. I’ve watched full-length interviews of Mr. deNiro and he seldom allow interviews, and I find him to be frank and honest. He likes it straight to the point and if he doesn’t like the question, he still respond, and yes, it might appear to be a bit on the rude side, but hey, they ask for an interview, they see him as he is. Of course the possibility of actually meeting him and having a conversation would be a more objective way to judge a person, whether he’s an asshole or not. I just find this a bit surprising coming in so strong, just on the basis of a video, which is edited already and we have absolutely no idea of the background related to it.

He is an asshole and very self involved. I’ve met him more than once. He only cares about himself, his wife Grace is an alcoholic, they fly around on private jets all the time, he’s always late and asking people to show up on weekends and at night for appointments but freaks if anyone else is late. He owns property all over manhattan and has a place near Millbrook, NY. They have a duplex in Manhattan at 88 Central Park West in addition to all of the property they have downtown. His father, sadly, died of AIDS. He was gay, a very well known painter (Robert De Niro Senior). De Niro has a lot of kids too. One has some sort of disability. Anyway, of course he’s an asshole. He’s no Paul Newman, that’s for sure.

john wrote this post. me (sean) thinks dinero is regular. I’m sure every hollywood star acts this way from time to time. I’m sure most people act this way from time to time. only difference is that hollywood stars have cameras on them at all times.
