27 Dresses vs Cloverfield

January 17th, 2008 by thecup

So what are you going to watch this week? 27 Dresses, a romantic comedy starring new it girl Katherine Heigl? Or a monster film called Cloverfield by producer, J.J. Abrams. Usually the date films win in these situations, however Cloverfield has been getting a lot of buzz on the internet. Do you guys remember The Blair Witch Project? It made over a $100 million and Cloverfield looks like it is being pushed in the same way. I hope the camera work in Cloverfield is not like The Blair Witch Project or else I will be sick. I have a gut feeling after watching the trailer that it will be. With 27 Dresses you know what you get a girl meets boy, girl hates boy, then girl loves boy. Cloverfield is bit of a mystery so if your single Cloverfield is your choice. Box Office scores will be interesting but I would have to go to 27 Dresses. Girls don’t like monsters and most people are in relationships.

how can you compare cloverfield with blair witch? just cause it’s shot amateur style? i’ve only seen the trailer for cloverfield, haven’t read much about it, but looks very promising so long as they don’t show the monsters face.

Thanks for adding me…your site is excellent! I love finding the films the big theatres forgot, and your site looks like a great resource. I will be back again and again!

Just heard about the film Persepolis…sounds good, too. Do you know anything about it?
