Celebrities have a problem with drugs. Health Ledger one of the hottest young actors died from a drug overdose. In fact many of the young stars in Hollywood are most likely doing drugs. WOw I really hate Cameron Diaz. Is it just me?? I find her soooo annoying and to be honest, she is not even that hot! She looks like she is always on drugs, next time she does a interview watch her eyes…..she is sooo high. She is getting up there in age, yet she acts like a 21 year old. People loved her in There is Something About Marry, so she tries very hard to be THAT character during interviews. Also does she not realize that her nipple is showing? Of course she does…VERY lady like. She is so gross…I want to punch her in the face two times. I saw her do a presentation with Chris Issac (singer) and Chris went in for a playful kiss and Cameron completely dogged him on national T.V. If I find the clip of that I will try and put it up. What she could have done is play if off, EVEN if she felt uncomfortable, like what Hally Berry did when the Pianist kissed her at the Oscars…she played it off and had fun with it….very classy. Cameron is just a bitch!
What is the most overrated film of all time? I have narrowed the field down to 3. Casablanca, The Godfather, and Spiderman. Disagree? Have you seen Casablanca? Running over 3 hours this movies was slow and the plot was very pointless. However people feel this was the best romantic movie of all time. Would anyone really watch this again all the way through? Is it just me who doesn’t get this film? The Godfather is a very good movie, but seriously it has to be one of the most overrated films of all time. Goodfellas, The Departed, and even Casino were just more entertaining. Again I have to stress that the length of these two films really hurt the film overall. No one wants to go through it again even if the film was good. I get that it is “cool” to like the Godfather but seriously is it really THAT good? Give me a break. Lastly Spiderman…..what a piece of crap that is. The script is horrible and the acting very sub par yet people line up to be the first ones to watch this garbage. Personally I felt the director didn’t know who he was trying to target….the kids…or the adults…..it ended up being very uneven and the overall tone left neither satisfied. If these are not the most overrated films of all time then what is???
I hear see people getting angry at Celebrities that don’t serve jail time for crimes. Or get special treatment. Like Mel Gibson, Lohan, Paris, etc. But why get angry at THEM? They are using their celebrity to their advantage. Wouldn’t you do the same? I say if your famous use it to serve as little time as possible. The one you should be angry at is the justice system! The justice system is really messed up in this country. It all comes down to whether or not you have money. Being guilty or not-guilty does not matter as much as what kind of lawyer you are able to get. Is that what the justice system has come to? Why not just keep it simple. Get 12 jurors, the defendant states his or her case, then the people state their case and the jury decides….why make it so complicated with all this legal bullcrap! Here is a thought I will leave you guys with. Their were two men accused of murder they did not commit. They were sentenced to life in prison. 12 years into their sentence, new DNA evidence proved that they did not commit the crime they were charged with. It took another 6 months to set them free because they had to process all the proper paperwork…..
Don’t get me wrong, I really liked Deniro but after watching this clip, I lost a lot of respect for him. I didn’t realize he was so smug and such a jerk. But I guess you have to be this way to make it in Hollywood. The way he looks at the director is priceless. He sure knows how to make someone feel like crap. Maybe he was having a bad day and decided to take it out on someone. However I have a strange feeling that this is how he is to “regular” people. He is DeNiro, he knows what he is doing, how dare you criticize me? Do you know who I am? Now I know how he was able to transition so well into comedy with Meet the Parents…..He was playing HIMSELF!!!
A surprisingly good movie. King of California stars Michael Douglas and the lovely Evan Rachel Wood. It’s a father daughter treasure hunt story. The father is a crazy man and the daughter is a precocious old soul. The story is generic but the characters are kinda interesting. Miss Wood is lovely. I think she has a very bright future in front of her. She’s not your typical teen actress. She has depth and is on the dark side. I think she could blossom into a premier actress in Hollywood. These underdog redemption stories are only good if you feel for the character. Maybe, my age makes me take more heart with this film. Being a certain age makes you stressed about financial success. Since the main character is a father who never made anything of himself, i ended up routing for the hero. I wanted him to succeed. It’s a good dvd find. Only wish there was a love story mixed in for Rachel Wood. It would have been nice to see. Corny at times, but worth renting. Thumbs up.

Chasing Amy is by far the best film Kevin Smith ever made. It’s a pretty deep drama about the definition of love. I wasn’t a uber fan of Clerks, but i did enjoy the dialogue of that flick. Chasing Amy follows this dialogue rich style of movie making but it also has strong characters. The definition of love is examined in this movie and it really made me reevaluate my own meaning of love. Some of the jokes are lame but most of the characters are loveable and really do start routing for the main character, Holden, played by Ben Affleck. Joey Lauren Adams is super hot and perfect for this role. I’m actually surprised that she isn’t a bigger star in Hollywood. I think she could have easily played any role that Renee Zellwieger played. I think Ben Affleck peaked with this movie. He really should have gone the Matt Damon route and passed on that relationship with J. Lo.

Dirty Dancing is one the my all time favorite movies. I’m a hetrosexual males but i love this film. It’s a classic girl meets boy, girl loses boy, girl gets boy back with a killer dance story. It feature one of the best movie quotes, “nobody puts baby in the corner.” The film deserves a lot of credit for casting cause Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey are perfect in it. The final dance sequence is one for the ages and have been imitated on many dance shows and weddings. This is one of those rare movies where you can watch over and over again.
