I was a little torn between a thumbs up or a thumbs down. On one hand this film had loveable characters especially Lar’s co-worker/love interest. On the other hand the plot seems too unbelievebale which would work if the film was a comedy. But the film is not really funny, yet at times it tries to be (kinda made me feel uncomfortable at times). However as a drama the film works and I had some teary eyed moments but then again the whole film centers around a sex doll…how serious can you take this film? For example a great scene between Lar’s and his older brother is very touching and emotional, yet a few minutes later we see bianca the sex doll….There are scene stealers and scene killers and the sex doll is a scene killer (however I found the doll sexually attractive…..is that wrong?). The film also has a very SLOW pace which means I will not be watching this a second time. Watch this for Ryan Gosling and Kelli Garner, they seem to have good chemistry while having very little dialogue.

what the hell. why is there such a fascination in america with vampires. seriously. anne rice vampires. from dusk to dawn. blade. underworld. i really don’t get it. is it the sexual sucking of blood that gets people packed into the theaters. the weekend had a terrible turn out. cause it was packed with adult dramas. i believe its harder this day and age cause movies don’t have a long shelf life. and also cause they are just churning out terrible movies. i blame the internet. its made everyone into a filmmaker. there is so much competition for entertainment. new shows new sites. and also you can find a way to watch something for free on the internet. i don’t buy dvds anymore cause its not worth it. just download it somewhere for free. (so i’ve heard)
anyway just me ranting
